Introduction to the System

What is the Digital Guest System?

  • The system is browser-based, so no download is required.
  • Advantages for you as a guest:
    • Faster access.
    • Contactless use.
    • 24/7 availability.
  • Doors can be unlocked online for your convenience.

Steps to Use the Digital Guest System

Step 1: Receive Access Details

  • You will receive your booking confirmation:
    • By email or SMS after booking.
    • On the day of arrival, you will receive an arrival email at around 11:00 AM.
  • Important: Please also check your spam folder for the email.
  • Keep your access details safe.

Step 2: Fill Out the Registration Form

  • If you have time at home, you can fill out the registration form before arrival (legal requirement).
  • The registration form is available here
  • The form can be completed on a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
  • Complete the check-in process (if possible, skip directly to Step 4).

Step 3: Complete Payment (if required)

  • Any outstanding amounts must be settled, depending on the type of reservation.
  • Accepted payment methods include credit card and PayPal.
  • Complete the check-in process after payment is made.
  • Only then can you proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Door Access Code

  • You will now see the „Door Unlock“ option on the left-hand side of the interface.
  • How it works:
    • Your room door and at least one entrance door should be listed.
    • Unlock doors by swiping right—just like unlocking a smartphone.
    • The door will unlock within 3–5 seconds.

Data Protection and Security

  • The system is GDPR-compliant, and all data is deleted 1 year after departure.
  • Both personal data (Straiv.io) and booking data (ibelsa.rooms) are stored on German servers.

Technical Requirements

  • Internet connection is required for access.
  • Compatible with smartphones, tablets, or computers:
    • Android devices from version 5 (November 2014).
    • iPhones from version 5 (September 2012).
  • No app download required!
